I thought this part was telling:

"Four Stanford employees listed as contributors in Torricelli's report to the secretary of the Senate said they could not recall giving money.

"I don't remember making a contribution... . Who was this again?" said Stanford employee Patricia Herr, who was listed in the report as having given $200."

The article tries to help exonerate Torch:

"There is no evidence that Torricelli has assisted Stanford."

Until you remember Clinton appointee US Attorney White:

"The U.S. Attorney's Office in Manhattan shut down its investigation [of Torch's relationship w/ Chang] in January without charging Torricelli."

Maybe if someone seriously investigated Torch like the criminal he is there would be some evidence. I doubt he is simply going to admit his crimes.
