Bump!

I think he is dead in a cave thus no body. I think if he were alive, there would be a tape of him. I hate to see him get Elvis status!!!

It is striking that neither the "dead" nor "alive" camps can come up with Al-Quaida message traffic to confirm their theories.
What does this mean:
1) They don't know if their leader is dead or alive?
2) We can't intercept their communications worth a darned?
3) Osama is alive and has particulary secure / covert hiding places?

Exactly. He's wherever we want to look for him, breaking stuff and busting folks as we go. I hear he's in France!

No proof, but uses the logical argument that bin laden is alive or dead
I agree with you here, Bin Laden has been a little too quiet for too long, yet we still haven't found Mullah Omar, or Bin's right hand man, the Egyptian Doctor, (whatever his name is). That leads me to believe that they all could be together trying very hard to remain undetected.

I believe history will note that Ronald Reagan's airplane was the dispatcher of Osama Bin Laden's final train ride to the nether regions. Saddam has the next ticket.

I've been posting from way back that I believed BL was killed in December, as speculated above.
However, I didn't get into the freeper dead-pool, so I'll never be able to collect the million-dollar prize. Dang!

I really don't know whether he is dead or alive - and as long as he has followers able to strike at us, it really doesn't matter.
That said, IF he is alive, he may just be playing a clever game. I heard on a Fox News show about a week or so ago that there is a tradition that there will be a great leader who will be killed by the infidels, but then be sent back by Allah to lead the fight against the infidels. I wish I could remember where I heard this, but I know I heard it. So - Bin Laden could be laying low waiting for some high infidel (Bush, Blair, Rumsfeld) to declare him absolutely dead, then "miraculously" reappear to lead the masses of Islam against the infidel West.
On the other hand, he could be dead.

Right! I love these "unidentified, high official" statements that are essentially meaningless. My take: OBN is alive and well in Pakistan and the Pakis are happy he is there. Or... they helped him fly out of Pakistan to Iran. Or..to Iraq. Or... to Egypt. I'm speculating at will here and why not? Everyone else is too.

"Generallissimo Francisco Franco is still dead."
LOL! Yup. This isn't breaking -- it's slithering.

"Yes, the timing of this news is quite interesting, is it not?" Nothing the media(DNC) does in this area is by chance. The media is simpy not to be trusted, but rather questioned.
For so long the press accused Bush of failure since he did not get Osama. Why is the press now willing to grant this victory to Bush?

As my buddy put it last night, it's easy to imagine UBL riding across Afghanistan on horseback, but it's a little harder to imagine a horse with a dialysis machine strapped to its back riding along with him.
