It's not clear in the article, but, does it appear as, though the scanner picked out the gun, this guy still made it onto the plane?

I don't think the guy with the gun made it on the plane. Think after he was stopped, they profiled the ones who were already on the plane. At least thats what i hope happened. Hard to tell from the article.
