"Besides, I like the fact that Beckel refused to be blackmailed. He may be a sleaze, but he's no wimp."

What is disturbing is that this deep into the thread no one is addressing the curious facts of this case: a pimp by the name of "Abdullah Hamid" is plying his whores on what we might politely term DC's "movers and shakers".

I would think that the obvious question would be one not of who stood up to the extortion, but rather who didn't stand up to it.

Frankly I can't buy the only argument that would mitigate against this having happened en masse, namely, the idea that Abdullah and the whore ran a "normal" whore house (fee for service, no extortion) and then one day decided out of the blue to extort Poor Ol' Bob.

How many politicians and journalists are effectively controlled by arab whore operations? What is going to happen to the country as a result of this? What has happened as a result of this? (i.e., any investigations and so forth that were mysteriously dropped for no apparent reason?)

Maybe this was addressed later in the thread and I just haven't read it yet. Even if it is, I am not heartened by the fact that nearly a hundred posts into the thread, no one has asked these questions. Yes, a leftie was hoist by his own petard. Fine, good, let's not minimize the shadenfreude aspect of it, but please, let's look at what may very well be a tip of the iceberg of something very bad for our country.

I'm surprised at such weak arguments. We do not live under Islamic law in the United States. If I *wanted* to live under Islamic law, I would move to a country that governs under Islamic law. If I lived in a country that governs under Islamic law and I did not want to be governed by Islamic law, I would emigrate to a country whose laws more closely reflected my beliefs. Just to shoot down your next rebuttal, I never lived in Nazi Germany either.

As to "fat cats" who sell stock to old ladies, who claimed that anything that *isn't* illegal is proper? Not I. That's another trick of moral relativists. I smell the old "dope-is-safer-than-alcohol" argument coming which is the straw dog of dopertarians. Because society allows some bad things to be legal does not entitle other bad things to be legal just because they "aren't any worse". That's for the society as a whole to decide and for lawmakers to define. Again, you work within the system to change the laws you don't like. That's what a representative governemnt is all about.

And, by the way, if it is legal for "fat cats" to sell worthless stocks to little old ladies, why are there laws on the books to regulate such practices and outlaw certain types of transactions? Seems your disagreement is not about the law but the proper enforcement of it.

But we all have to weep for the two Beckel kids who have to deal with their father's Carvillian/Lewinskyist morality, don't we.

Excuse me, but why would I weep for two children I never knew existed until today?

Just because their pop got a blow job from a hooker?

You may have to explain this logic to me, but it could be I am not compassionate, I don't know.

On the other hand I find this story funny as hell, what a stupid buffoon.

Here, let me tell you who I am and write you a friggin' check. BWAAHAHAA ROTFLMFAO For 1600 dollars, for a BJ. LOL

Oh get off your high horse, kiddo. Just come out with it and state that you have contempt for laws and morality; why don't you, instead of all of this circumlocution and drivel.

Bob BROKE THE LAW , placed himself in a position to be blackmailed, and has embarassed himself. Yes, those of us who are giggling at him, and gleefully doing so, because of his previous unsavory exploits and impugnations against Conservatives. He was litterally caught with his pants down ! Politically, he is now of little consiquence. OTOH, it is delicous , to have him skewered, with his own misadventures.

Since you appear to aprove / not care about base / immoral / illegal behavior, then you should be scared of most FREEPERS. Oh, and I am NOT a " Calvinist ", dear. Does religion and religious tennents frighten you so, that in order to beat away your own devils , you have to berate/ insult / impugn someone/s whom you know little about ? If so, you really need to examin this flaw. :-)

Go find something productive to do ; you are in no way adding anything of value to this thread, this debate, nor this forum !

There are a couple of problems here.

The first problem is the incoherent response you gave. It rambles and has no discernable direction other than an obvious vent of frustration.

giggling your head off

A rather loose assummption on your part

but it ain't. The second is that something bad happened to him. But it didn't. It could have, if his moral standards were as poorly tuned as most peoples on this forum.

BUT IT SHOULD!!! What a wonderful sense of leadership responsibility you have. If you were truly understanding the character of the great majority of people that participate in this forum, you could not make such an absurd statement about the moral standards. Nothing could be farther from the truth than your statement.

"the law is the law"Gee, I guess your interpretation of what is law is "if you like the law it is ok, if you don't like it, it shouldn't be a law". Well, I hate to break you the news- the law should apply to all people!!!! Unfortunately all too many find loop holes with distortion specialists ( politicians and attorneys) and wind up being able to make the law apply or not apply to them as they find their advantage, such as you have indicated in your statement. This is also a sad thing that there are other people with your same attitude.

Well, as I read the rest of your lengthy rambling senseless post, I have come to realize that you are not worth my time and would prefer to spend my time in a more productive effort.

Tiffany saw Beckel again at his home from 3 to 6 p.m. June 29 and received a check for $1,300. She performed oral sex on him and she agreed that she would return to his house July 1, the affidavit states.

$300 an hour, 3 hours = $900. Beckel must have been using the corporate account to throw in a $500 tip.

Washington Post homes sold section ARROWOOD RD., 7505-Robert G. and L. Beckel to Elise L. and Steven A. Museles, $1.195 million. Looks like bob is getting out of Dodge or in this case Bethesda.

Succubus, must be the word of the day somewhere.

I don't know what this guy looks like, but if you say he's big then I'll take your word. It's nice how unattractive large men are finally starting to realize that, no, they do not belong in the cool/pretty people club. It just makes an unattractive man EVEN UGLIER to watch him flop over chicks he has no business with. And, also the old-sters. Do I look like I'd be interested in another grandpa?!

The problem with good-looking women with not-so-good-looking men is that men don't allow themselves to realize they are being taken advantage of. Good-looking chick has low self-esteem. She needs man (man she is NOT attracted to) to lift her back up so she can lick her wounds and go back out there. (She will NOT spend "down" time chasing men she likes.) Man thinks he is her hero, and thinks he is then included in a higher food-chain order than reality would lead us to believe. Then good-looking women wonder why doofus-dorkbutt is hitting on them. It's a continuous cycle of nuttiness. Would you agree?
