Under the circumstances, the judge ruled halting logging "is not against the public interest, but, to the contrary, serves the public interest."

I don't see how ruining the Eureka/Arcata economy is in the public interest. Wait 20 years and the fires will begin.

This is very unfortunate that timber workers in that area will be losing more work. I'm interested in if the areas affected that were slated for logging were areas of real old trees or smaller younger trees.If they are smaller trees,I want to know even more about why the judge ruled all work must stop.
