The Vacant Seat Number 666 in the European Parliament

Report on the opening of the Fifth Elected Parliament of Europe in Strasbourg and its occupancy of the new Parliament Buildings.

The recently elected Fifth Parliament of Europe met on Tuesday, 20^th July, 1999, in its new glass building which cost the taxpayers of Europe an as yet uncalculated sum of billions of Pounds. The first meeting, due to begin at 10.00 a.m., did not start until 10.30 because the amplification system, which cost millions of Pounds, was defective. No doubt more defects in this Crystal Palace will be manifested in the days to come.

Incidentally, the Members of the European Parliament had no say whatsoever in where the building was to be located, what its design was to be, what amount of money was to be spent on it, or how it was to be furnished. The French Government forced it both upon Members of Parliament and upon the Governments of European Union countries, Germany and the United Kingdom being made to foot the exorbitant bill. These two countries are Europe's pay slaves.

The prophetic significance of the European Union has been revealed as the saga unfolds. [See our two articles on "The Conspiracy behind the European Union".] First, the sign which it chose as its symbol was the Woman riding the Beast. This comes from a prophecy in Revelation 17. The depiction of the harlot woman was reproduced on the centenary stamp of the European Union, in a huge painting in the Parliament's new building in Brussels, and by a huge sculpture outside the new E.U. Council of Ministers Office in Brussels. The new European coinage, the Euro, bears the same insignia. The Tower of Babel has been used on the posters emanating from Europe – a truly suggestive prophetic sign.

Now, a massive Crystal Palace tower (officially called the Tower Building) houses the Fifth Parliament of Europe.

It is certainly a building of the Space Age. The seats of its massive hemicycle are designed like the crew seats in the Star Trek space machines. There are 679 of them – but wait for it! While these seats are allocated to Members, one seat remains unallocated and unoccupied. The number of that seat is 666. The relevant section of the seating-plan provided to each Member reads as follows:

Revelation 13:18: "Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six." That is 666.

Today this scripture is being fulfilled before our very eyes.

The Antichrist's seat will be occupied. The world awaits his full and final development. The Lord will destroy him by the spirit of His mouth (the Word of God) and by the brightness of His coming (2 Thes. 2:8). The coming of the Lord draweth nigh.

This is a European Union poster used to promote European unity. Modeled on Pieter Brueghel's famous 16th century painting "The Tower Of Babel", the poster shows the peoples of Europe rebuilding the tower that God destroyed in Genesis 11:

"And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city. Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth." (Genesis 11:5-9)

Note the statement shown on the poster "Many Tongues One Voice", inverts God's judgement on Babel. Note also that the normal European stars have been inverted to a pentagram, which shows the horns, ears and beard of Lucifer.

The resemblence between the painting and the poster is significant -- not a mistake, in my opinion.

No, it isn't a mistake. It's Europa riding a bull (which is likely a manifestation of Zeus). It's Greek imagery that dates well before the birth of John the Apostle, which has already been pointed out in this discussion. Attempting to draw a link betwen it and a "woman riding a beast" as described in the book of Revelation is the work of crackpots in tinfoil hats.

Speaking of 666: Have you heard the theory about UPC symbols?

Below is a link to the 666/UPC information. In summary, each number on a UPC bar code symbol from 0 to 9 is represented by 2 black bars. A numeric digit appears below each pair of black bars. These are consistent (the same black bars for each digit).

In addition, the UPC has three pairs of double bars which extend down a bit further than the rest. The three pairs appear at the beginning, middle, and end of the bar code. These are not labeled. They are two thin lines -- exactly the same as the pair of bars representing the digit six.

Please don't label me a tin foiler on this -- I haven't bought that this has anything to do with anything, and I'm not saying there is a conspiracy or plan behind it. However, as I said before, I do believe that what the Bible says is true. It does talk about a mark (666) without which people will not be able to buy or sell.

Yes, I'm a bit tired and I missed that. The blocky-looking people are a retro-look. I think that it looks a bit tacky, but not scary.

Take a look at the highlighted marks and look at the mark for "6". They do not look alike. The highlighted mark is a 'seperator' mark, which does not signify any number. A case could be made that it resembles the marking of '6', but it is not identical and to a computer the difference means everything.

FWIW, I have seen some good evidence that one meaning of the number of the beast is associated with a subcutaceous biomedical chip, shaped as an ellipsoid, with ribbed patterns, which could be read similar to the UPC pattern and formed an integer of "666" in hexadecimal. Part of the devices said importance was a linkage between manmade digital devices, the biological body, human thought, and emotional connections. Some studies indicate it might also have ramifications as a bi-directional communications device which would be employed as an intercept of any human initiation of thoughful communication with any other person,...including prayer.

This particular view might be woefully inadequate with respect to all other Scriptural references, but it conveniently offers some basis as to the severity of the consequences for accepting the mark.

As for the article and the number of coincidences, it might be conspiracy theory, but then again, conspiracies do involve a number of coincidences.

It could have been. It's been so long since I saw that movie that I really couldn't say with any certainty.

I think I will write to Dr. Van Impe and ask him about that- it will drive me crazy until I find out what those meanings are.

I don't know if you are aware of this, but Dr. Van Impe mentioned a couple of years ago that a Catholic writer named Malachi Martin wrote a book a few years ago about a 14th or 15th century priest. This priest correctly predicted each pope who would serve through the centuries until the rise of the Antichrist. According to this priest, there will be one more pope after the one we have now, then the pope after that will be the one who reigns during the Tribulation.

The Tribulation pope's name will be Peter Romano (according to the priest). When I e-mail Dr. Van Impe about the 666 thing, I will ask about the name of that book. It's something like "Blood of the Roses" but that is definitly not the correct title.

Ian Paisley makes David Duke look like the poster boy for racial tolerance. He's been screaming "Death to the Papists" from every hilltop in the UK for years, and is a certifiable loon.

The message only carries the credibility of the messenger, and in this case the messenger only has credibility which those who have never heard of him, or those that share his "Ethnic Cleansing" point of view.

I once got a speeding ticket on Hwy 666 in Arizona (perhaps NM). I think the Devil made me do it. Or perhaps it was just that absolutely straight road stretching into infinity with only one other car on it (an unmarked cruiser).
