I read an article about another state's problems with child welfare - the state of Michigan can't find 300+ kids. This is not a situation unique to FL. Sadly very true. It has to do with the way the CPS is structured. Nobody has time to check up on the social workers who are suppose to be checking up on the kids. But they have all the time in the world to pick at private adoption agencies.

BTW, it would not surprise me if such headlines also eventually concerned 48 other states -- how many of those states have attempted to locate all the kids in their care? So far, we know of two states that have tried to do so - FL and Michigan. I bet 48 other states are waiting until after November elections....
