Part of me wants to see Reno annihilated by Jeb Bush in November. But it would be pretty sweet to see her knocked off the ballot by a complete unknown within her own party. If Bush can't beat this upstart (McBride) in November, then the GOP has big problems in Florida.

"Part of me wants to see Reno annihilated by Jeb Bush in November."

I'd rather see her win!

What better would send Jeb's brother the message that he better quit his abandonment of social conservatives now if he wants to himself be reelected than to see his brother defeated by Jackboot Janet now?

If she were elected, she won't be in office long - let alone have a political future - due to her poor health. But her defeating Jeb would sure send Jeb's brother a message. So every social conservative in Florida should vote for her!

Jackboot Janet's "girlfriend" - the issue she fears will hit Florida talk radio!

Actually the Republican Party is in great shape in Florida. The Republicans have majorities in both houses of the legislature and only one member of the Cabinet is a Democrat. It probably won't change much this year. The person with the problem is Governor Bush. He does his best to leave the impression that he carries the Republican Party but the truth is just the opposite.

Bush has done his best to attract liberals and, in so doing, has turned his back on his supporters. You'll frequently see posts on FR about how lifelong Democrats will be supporting JEB but you rarely see posts about how many JEB voters in 1994 and 1998 won't vote for him again.

McBride will be a formidable opponent who can do well (for a Democrat) in the Panhandle and in North Florida. If McBride wins the primary, JEB could be a one termer.

Very true. Jeb is a great governor, but not a great candidate.

Unknown? He worked for the DNC and Jim-mah Carter in the early 1970's. He's a party insider, and one of the richest lawyers in Florida.
