I have maintained for quite some time that enironmentalism is a religion rather than science. If so, it should be treated as such and the prohibition of government establishment of religion should be observed. But what does the first amendment protection have to do with our present government?

The right has legitimate issues where environmentalist extremes conflict with property rights and common sense. We should stay in the common sense arena and not get weird on them by cluttering argument with paranoia about Gaia and the UN takeovers that sound like we are the ones that are nuts. They are cracked, and we are cracking!

There is a narrow line between teaching environmental stewardship and teaching extreme environmentalism that will destroy the sovereignty of our God and Country.

Teaching extreme environmentalism could destroy the sovereignty of our Country. But to destroy the sovereignty of God? Was Joyce Morrison paying attention to what she was writing?? Or does she really believe that her God needs us to protect His sovereignty? Cheer up, Joyce! If your God is the same as my God, He will still be sovereign even if all of mankind bows down to worship the trees and the cute fluffy animals.

Not only that, but I believe that He knows more than a thing or two about reserving a remnant to Himself. His people will never bow the knee to another, not because of our vigilant watch over the socialists, but because of the power of His decree. He truly is sovereign, omnipotent and omniscient.

To Joyce Morrison and others who share her concerns: Take care for your children, guard jealously their upbringing, but put your faith and hope in God alone, not in "God and Country."
