It's illegal to carry in NYC w/o a license. However, I recall a poster saying that he went through the process, which was difficult, but he said it was well worth it. Why don't you give it a try?

Hmm.. Maybe I should. Do I need to have some special reason, though? Like own a cash business/etc.?
