The noise you hear are the silent prayers requesting forgiveness from those conservatives who have chosen to sacrifice a little of their own principle to insure that voices such as yours can continue to bleet and criticize from your armchair with at least the slightest bit of hope that you do not wake up one day with Hillary as president and a Supreme Court dominated by liberals.
If you want crystal pure principle, go find an ivory tower debate it to your minds content. This is politics baby, and it ain't for the feint of heart.

Politics is one thing. Preserving the Constitution quite another. If by standing on principle in its defense causes you and others to consider me worthy of an "ivory tower" so be it. I'd rather have that they take part in destabilizing our way of life.

What parts are worth enforcing and which parts are cosmetic fill-ins? Guess it depends on which way the "political" winds are blowing from now on in...

Bob J, Bush could abide by the rule of law and court people. However, he plays the same old group politics. Meanwhile, it will cost us chunks of our country, our culture, as well as any chance of re-electing a future conservative. Hope rarely supercedes trends. Just remember that.
