The liberal media EXCORIATED We Were Soldiers (as expected). I thought it was one of Gibson's best efforts, and up there with the best war films of the past couple decades.

Yep -- it was, without a doubt, the best portrayl of Vietnam. (Not that I was there!) But that scene of him praying with his kids at night reminded me soooooo much of my childhood. Not that I was child when my dad was in Nam. I was conceived when he came home.

I recently read the book We Were Soldiers Once, and Young and pretty near cried all through it. Those guys....fantastic. This country really let them down.
