...oh, by the way, I am familiar with Ellenberger's great contibutions to the study of E. V.'s theories, but I still consider the field a great study of science as a battlefield of ideas. It is one thing to come fresh to the whole thing now, quite another to have stumbled across this stuff in the 60s and watched (as just an unschooled, but broadly read reader) the battle playout over the ensuing decades. It is much more fun than the corresponding reading watching Theologens argue and debate.

I care little for one side winning complete victory as I often say: "My dog ain't in that fight!"

But one side has won complete victory. That's why its bizarre that Ted continues to expound long-discredited theology based solely upon the literal interpretation of fictional works of literature.
