Well, that's the rub about liberals, isn't it? They do gush. See, this is what Coulter was going on about that has liberals so upset with her. Liberals are more than willing to suspend critical judgement of one of their own. If Bush lied to us as Clinton lied to the nation, I can guarantee you that most Republicans would want to ride Bush out of town on a rail. Yet we have empirical evidence that Clinton lied repeatedly and that the liberal Democrats enabled him in his lying, up to and including his perjury before a federal magistrate.
Conservatives simply have higher standards than liberals. Period. We look at the Presidency and see the honor of the thing; liberals look at it as an opportunity to pass out goodies to clients. We look at the Constitution and we treat it as our lodestar. Liberals look at the Constitution and treat it much as a German driver would treat a speed limit on the Autobahn.
You should want to hurl, Anna. This is how a significant number of American voters think. The only salutary thing in all this is that it proves that there are a lot more stupid Democrats than there are stupid Republicans.
There's one thing about liberal Democrats that keeps coming back to me, however. There is an enormous amount of blind Leader worship among them. Go over to DU sometime and you will read hagiographic post upon hagiographic post pining for their hillbilly Fuhrer.
Their blind devotion to Clinton tells me something about left wing Democratic Party activists that reminds me of something long ago and far away.....
