"Gay Pride Day" and Bill Simon
Seattle Post Intelligencer | September 4, 2002 | Seattle Post Intelligencer News Services

Posted on 9/5/2002, 3:06:47 PM by ethical

California--A Republican group said yesterday that GOP gubernatorial nominee Bill Simon would be dropped from a fundraiser with Vice President Dick Cheney's lesbian daughter, Mary Cheney, because he reneged on a promise to declare a Gay Pride Day if elected. The Republican Unity Coalition, formed to promote ties between gays and non-homosexuals, said Simon would not be welcome at a fundraiser tomorrow in Los Angeles.

I am convinced now that the Cheney's do more than love their daughter warts and all (which is how it should be) they go on to promote her perverted sexuality as normal by remaining so silent on the issue while their daughter is out promoting it as the "Vice President's daughter". This is really depressing coming from conservatives.

If you haven't figured it out yet, the Cheney family is compromised on the subject of pathology.

It all stems from this ridiculous notion of "inclusion" from some members of the Republican party. They must think that if they sink to the level of the Dems, then more people will vote for them.

This is an embarassing blurb from a paper that prides itself on being the Seattle Post Intelligencer. How about Lack of Intelligencer?

And you have, hey psychological genius?

The Cheney's are likely healthier mentally than you are.

Where have either Lynne or Dick Cheney said that homosexuality is normal? They say nothing, so you don't know what they think about it.

They have the class not to criticize their daughter's lifestyle in public.

Here's what "Gay" Davis is up to these days:

SPECIAL LEGISLATIVE ALERT
Davis to sign three abortion bills tomorrow in San Francisco.

SB 1301 - Abortion made easier
AB 2194 - Forced abortion training for gynecologists/obstetricians
AB 1860 - Emergency contraception

The first message below is from our friends at Women's Resource Network, following that is an alert sent by CARAL (California Abortion and Reproductive Rights Action League), a pro-abortion organization.

FROM WOMEN'S RESOURCE NETWORK:
Dear Friends of Women's Resource Network, California,
CARAL sent this out today. It saddens my heart that California has come to a level of complete disrespect for women by not only passing these bills, but now on the verge of Davis signing them into law and the general public seems to support this man! Please call, write or fax Gov. Davis's office and tell him we respect Life and the women of California and to please veto SB 1301 which lowers the standard of medical care for women making it easier for abortion providers to turn a profit at the expense of women and their health.

If you live in the San Francisco area please attend this bill signing ceremony with signs that say "Women Deserve Better than Abortion" and show your support For-Women, not abortion providers and so called pro-"Choice" abortion pushers.

Dana Serrano
Executive Director
Women's Resource Network, California

Bill Simon is pro life. Bill Simon got an "A" rating from the NRA. DUMP DAVIS!! Go, Simon!!!!!!!!

Sinkspur, I will probably be forgiven by God if I don't take much of anything you say seriously.

God does forgive children and idiots, that's true.

Or, it could stem from the fact that the R's are accepting that gay rights are now mainstream and that discrimination is wrong.

-----------------------------

I wouldn't call it discrimination. It's observation that would be made by anyone not compromised or as nuts at the gay and lesbian subculture.

If we have a gay pride day (a day for celebrating sexual dysfunction), we should have an alcoholics pride day, a schizophrenia pride day, and a compulsive-obsessives pride day. Gays have their right to government services, as do all citizens. But it's absurd for the government to promote or encourage homosexual behavior.

Wrong is wrong even if everybody is doing it....

St. Augustine.

I guess in your eyes, if something is "mainstream" enough, that makes it ok. It's sad to have no moral basis for your life. Basing your morality on what year it is or how many people accept a particular sin is a shaky way to live.

This issue's over, folks.

True, for better or worse. Nearly 40% of Californians voted for gay marriage a few years ago (how many would have done so 20 years ago?), and Generation Y is even more sympathetic.

And while "the heartland" may try and ignore California and New York, heartland kids watch MTV and Comedy Central and blockbuster films.

One need not be a weatherman to know which way the wind's blowing on this issue.

Oh well, more votes for the Libertarian Party. I heard a poll today:

Davis ... 38%
Simon ... 31?
A third party ... 9%
Undecided ... the rest.

Do the Lou Sheldons of the world not care that people who openly violate the First Commandment have equal rights?

I've often wondered why believers do not advocate harsher treatment for those who violate the First Commandment.
