Huh. No sooner had the great Sustainable Growth summit in Jo-burg ended than the joyful news is announced from Zimbabwe! The NGO horticulturalists had brought forth two of their favorite hothouse flowers! To thin the population without the ugly scourge of war!

I'm sure they must be delighted. Modesty will no doubt keep them from claiming credit.

Where's the outrage particularly from all those liberals that demanded justice for South Africa?
like Randall Robinson, Jesse and Al Sharpton. Where are the pickets , this time in front of the Zimbawean Embassy?

Are they afraid of being called racist if they complain about a black dictator--even though he is destroying his own people.

The positions are layed out in an article in today's L.A. Times.

Whites claim Mugabe is a brutal, dictatorial, thief using political issues of fairness to cover the transfer of lands from white owners to his personal supporters and family - careless of the resulting famine.

Blacks claim that redistribution is the only solution to Britain's theft of half of the country's decent farmland in the late 1800's - and that current problems are due to natural variations in weather patterns, Britain's refusal to act in a less precipitous matter when it had the chance to do so, and inevitable lawlessness accompanying such dramatic social and economic change.

Anyone know how whites farmers acquired the land? I know nothing about the history of this country.
