These liberal hypocrits who employ the same types of philosophical litmus tests on Bush's candidates for the bench which they appeared to condemn during the Presidential campaign, are beneath contempt.
I hope that George Bush has the moral fortitude to do what somebody like Teddy Roosevelt would have done under similar circumstances - refuse to knuckle under and continue to nominate conservative, qualified judges to the federal courts and let the American people know that the justice system is being compromised by the failure of the these demons of the liberal left to approve qualified candidates for the bench.
I hope he doesn't crumble like a cheap deck of cards on this issue like his father did. After the Dems "Borked" George Bush I, he nominated, and we got stuck with, that reclusive freak Souter who turned out to be just what the liberals in Congress knew he would be, a left-wing liberal flake.

Words from the dimorats:
"The message is this: We will confirm qualified judges," said Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle, D-S.D.(world's biggest political whore behind the klintoon's)
"Don't send us unqualified people."
I'd turn these words and pound them into the ground against the demonrats.
How can Dashole even use the word the word "unqualified"? If your unlucky enough to have any dimowit aquaintances or family, ask them to try and justify this stunt.

I would encourage everyone who can afford it to send a small donation to Cornyn's campaign, and let them know that it's because of the hate-filled Owens hack job.

GOP only needs to net 1 to take the majority back (50-50 split with Cheney breaking the tie). Let's hope all the money Bush is raising pays off. I think the Owens and Pickering judicial rejections will help get the GOP out to vote in the southern Senate races.

I seriously thought of "moving" to Louisiana just to vote against her. Phil Grahmn retired and I promise to work my A$$ off to get Cornyn elected. Best of luck for your turn out in La. If there is a Runoff maybe we could get together and put out some yard signs or something.

Ahhhhhhhh winning is such sweet revenge. Even Sweeter, the Wall Street Journal's OpinionJournal.com had a small piece of news on their Thursday "Best of the Web" section, that Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg will announce her retirement on Monday due to health reasons. I would be supreme irony if Pricilla Owen were to replace Ginsberg. President Bush would not have to announce a replacement before the election. Also, an eight member Supreme Court would be advantageous for conservatives till a new Supreme Court justice is confirmed.
Ruthless Supreme Court?
The "Greedy Clerks Board" on Findlaw.com carries the following rumor--and it's just a rumor--from one "P.L.":
Less than a month before the term is to begin, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, citing health concerns, will announce her retirement on Monday morning.
Meanwhile, the Associated Press reports the Senate Judiciary Committee has rejected the nomination of Priscilla Owen, a Texas Supreme Court justice, to serve on the Fifth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. Despite her "well qualified" rating from the American Bar Association, the Senate panel nixed her by a 10-9 party-line vote.
