I prefer the term...delegalizing it
To: MrLeRoy
Their local police are against legalization.
Perhaps a job security issue?

I prefer the term...delegalizing it I have no idea what you're trying to communicate. "Delegalizing" is another term for legalizing?

In addition, making pot legal would clear the way for our police to tackle other, more harmful crimes relating to the public good. Really, would you rather see a pot smoker or a child molester behind bars? Never thought I'd say it: Common sense in Canada. Could this happen the in US? I hope so.

More of a featherbedding issue. Which would you rather take on: a murderer or a stoner?

And also tax the h*ll out of it. Say about $2 a toke. On top of the retail price.

I wouldn't hold my breath.

And $2/toke? Please consider rescinding any previous comments you may have made on this board at any time about supporting a smaller, less intrusive Govt.

I agree with your intent. Few things irritate unions as much as reducing the easy work.
My choice? Never be a cop!

Maybe he meant "relegalizing".That makes sense. It would be a useful term. I had one WODer (on NewsMax) confidently claim to me that 'illegal drugs have always been illegal'; I'm sure there are others who share his ignorance.

The present system of prohibition on marijuana just doesn't work, the committee found. Ya think?
