We can if you like, but I still say it's not time. It's never time to legalize something that is harmful that is already illegal.

So to take the alcohol prohibition back was a mistake? I hope I'll be seeing you on the next anti-alcohol meeting then.

Well, it kinda comes down to what is more harmful. Having a few dopers around (which we already do), or the wholesale slaughter of the Constitution?

The cure is much worse than the "disease".

I like how you clarify your remarks by adding "that is already illegal".

Saves you time from defending alcohol, tobacco, soda and bacon double-cheeseburgers.

Regardless of the means that were used to make it illegal, or the unintended consequences of accepting those means?

2 questions for you.

1. Would you rather have potheads or child-molesters in prison?

2. Who owns my body (and I never have used pot or other illicit substances and won't, even WHEN they are re-legalized)? You and FedGov or ME?

Yeah, it's more fun to waste 20+billion every year intercepting 5-10% at most each year, while failing to stop its use in the first place--even in places like prisons--and it's safer than alcohol, etc.
