We can if you like, but I still say it's not time. It's never time to legalize something that is harmful that is already illegal.

So to take the alcohol prohibition back was a mistake? I hope I'll be seeing you on the next anti-alcohol meeting then.

It's never time to legalize something that is harmful that is already illegal. Well, it kinda comes down to what is more harmful. Having a few dopers around (which we already do), or the wholesale slaughter of the Constitution?
The cure is much worse than the "disease".

It's never time to legalize something that is harmful that is already illegal. I like how you clarify your remarks by adding "that is already illegal".
Saves you time from defending alcohol, tobacco, soda and bacon double-cheeseburgers.

It's never time to legalize something that is harmful that is already illegal.Regardless of the means that were used to make it illegal, or the unintended consequences of accepting those means?

2 questions for you.
1. Would you rather have potheads or child-molesters in prison?
2. Who owns my body (and I never have used pot or other illicit substances and won't, even WHEN they are re-legalized)? You and FedGov or ME?

Yeah, it's more fun to waste 20+billion every year intercepting 5-10% at most each year, while failing to stop its use in the first place--even in places like prisons--and it's safer than alcohol, etc.
