For the second straight year, California's crime rate rose slightly in 2001, pushed by jumps in vehicle thefts and homicides, Attorney General Bill Lockyer reported Thursday.

Crime rose 3.7 percent in the Golden State between 2000 and 2001, according to Lockyer's report, "Crime and Delinquency in California 2001." The trend in the Bay Area was largely the same, with most counties seeing crime inch up last year.

I wonder if Bill Lockyer has considered the percentage of Californians who do not obey our federal laws. Hint: illegal aliens

Maybe catering to the scum of the earth with all their liberal feel-good policies while disarming the law-abiding has something to do with it?

"There is no single factor responsible for these trends," Lockyer said

Wrong Sir.

The reason is that you are absolutely morally and professionally unqualified to hold the position to which you were elected.

Your liberal philosophy, your history of dabbling in perversion, your educational background and your professional experience make you absolutely unprepared to meet the resposibilites of your office.

It is no accident that crime rates began to rise after you took office.
