"Drugs and Aids dementia can really screw up a liberal mind."

As redundant as that statement is, it sure is true!

" It seems that left are all on the same page."

They always are; that's why they are winning.

Old growth is exactly what we need to cut, so that the next generation of trees can also become 'old growth.'

It seems that they are trying to do with trees what they have been doing to people: kill the babies and have the old die without a new generation. The Death Culture is the heart of liberalism.

We disagree. Old growth forests are a valuable research asset. Using them for lumber is un-necessary in the face of a global timber glut. You might want to ask yourself why no one is growing timber of equivalent quality before you make that assertion.

The Old Growth argument is the Northern Spotted Owl of the trees. Even if there weren’t any, they would find something else. It is always moving the goalpost for these people. Furthermore, if the left hadn't ruined every city east of the Mississippi, we wouldn't have had to build suburbs. Of course they have moved out there too, so now conservatives are moving out to the country.

Lastly, the reason we don't have old growth lumber, which is really only important for esthetic and overpriced elitist furniture, is that we don't cut it anymore. Also a lot of sub mom and pop mills have gone out of business, so the wood just dies and rots or is cut up into firewood. I used to live on 10 acres in Fairfield County, Cn. Lots of fine old trees, most every fake farmyard had bunches. Usually the ice got them. Must have been 10’s of thousands, easy. All hardwoods, 3-4 feet in diameter.

I am just astounded by the sheer unashamed paranoia of the left. The great conspiracy of cutting old trees. Damn! I never thought about it. We might make a bit of money with that. You know, to feed and house the poor, get taxes intakes and what not. People must be so lustful for money indeed and must be shackled from enjoying the fruits of the Earth. Why don't they shut up and stopped interfering with America's business. We do not need enviro nanies nazies, we can manage fine our own sanitation, thanks.

Of course they never bother to check that old rotting growth is a huge poluter of methane and what not.

Thanks for the ping...I heard Jerry Partain former head of the Calif Dept of Forestry say on the radio today that the Six Rivers National Forest grows 300,000,000 Board Feet of timber a year.and harvest is near zero. Years ago we had many veneer mills in Humboldt County because the future looked good with all the 3 to 4 foot diameter douglas fir trees as far as the eye could see. Something strange happen as the logger moved east from the coast. These punkins were exploding on the mill lathes as the core of these "OLD GROWTH" trees are rotten or punky. There is very little merchantable lumber in them. As they die they become lightning rods and many fires originate in these areas.
