When you think about it, there is a lot of similiarity between what happened December 7, 1941, and September 11, 2001.
Sixty years, or one generation, separate those events.
At Pearl Harbor we lost 2395 people from a terrorist attack by the Japanese.
On September 11, we lost over 3000 people from a terrorist attack by Muslim extremists.
The shock that anyone could hate us that much was the same.
The outpouring of patriotic spirit was the same as we geared up to fight those who would rob us of our liberties.
In 1941, Japan pulled the tail of the tiger and woke him up...much to their dismay.
In 2001, Muslim extremist have again awakened this same tiger.... they will rue the day!

LET'S ROLL!

"I'd sentence all of the left-wing America-haters to watch that video non-stop for days on end until their frozen hearts melted."

Thank you kindly for your comments, Angel.
Sadly, there are some people on our own forum who need to watch it to understand why we're involved in this war on terrorism.

"He got quiet and I kept saying that to him then he said OK but I knew that he would go if people needed help plus it was his job."

May God Bless you and your very special husband. He has the spirit of a true hero.

"When you think about it, there is a lot of similiarity between what happened December 7, 1941, and September 11, 2001.
Sixty years, or one generation, separate those events."

What an interesting parallel!
One to the nation's advantage, however.

Many of those of us with memories of that prior world-wide war are still here and have imparted to our progeny, and to those who will listen, our insight and memories.
We are here to share those, and have imbued in our children patriotism and the concept of a world that does not end at the corner of the block, the edge of the mall, or county or state line.

Instant communications give us a front row seat on events as they happen, complete with picture and sound, and analyses made minute by minute.
The sobering part is our mainland is now no longer untouched territory, and with new technologies, extremely vulnerable from within and without.
Destruction can be mere moments away for any of us or those we love.

Our resolve and spirit is being tested to the max in a nation of eroding values; lines crossed - meanings blurred.

The hour of decision and unity is NOW, and if the nation is to survive, the phrase "In God We Trust" must be paramount.

Our forefathers understood that and struggled to establish one land where freedom can live and thrive under divine giudance.
Do enough of our inhabitants carry that in their hearts and are willing to act in that belief??

The Time of Testing is at hand ~ ~ ~

"The goal is to capture in a picture America's visions and the poignancy of a deeply emotional moment," Fleischer told reporters. "The president wanted a setting that reminds America again of our moral calling, our higher purpose as the beacon of liberty and freedom for people around the world."

You and the President are thinking along the same line - reminding America, our friends and our enemies, of the high moral calling that is the foundation and the bedrock upon which this nation was founded, and which if we are to survive must be reinforced by each generation.

Thank you for your excellent insight.

...and the cross that was left standing in the midst of the tons and tons of melting steel and concrete. In God's time evil doesn't last, but good endures forever.

Amen
