I take strong exception to the arguments of Sarita Cooke in her Aug. 3 editorial entitled: "War with Iraq." I do not mean to argue against a possible war with Iraq. All I know about Iraq is what the opposing "experts" have to say and what the media does to sensationalize the issue.

It really is time to set the record straight on Veitnam. It was not "Platoon" or most of the other movies made about it. I am glad to see honorable people with knowlege of the war getting back into the struggle for history itself. That no other nation fell into communist hands is a tribute to the GI's who fought in Vietnam.

As it says on the Korean Veterans Memorial in Washington, "Freedom is Not Free." Civilians pay in dollars. Veterans pay with diminished lives. Civilians say it's not worth the price. Veterans say they'd do it all again. Thanks...and yep for all the crap... I'd do it all again.. :)
