September 10, 2002 -- IT'S time for America to wake up.

Tomorrow is the first anniversary of the World Trade Center murders.

This horrible crime was carried out by a group of suicidal fanatics who undoubtedly were backed by various maniacal governments in the Middle East.

Simply amazing, someone with more then half a brain. You are correct, take away the oil and the arabs have no power. So why won't congress let us go after the oil we have at our disposal like in alaska or the gulf of mexico?
For years the arabs especially the saudis have squandered the billions upon billions they have obtained for the black gold. They have lived lavish lifestyles and failed investeing properly for the future. Much of the arab world is underemployed and the real work is done by foreigners. Real work is beneath them. May someday we wake up and throw these dogs to the wolves.

The fact that OIL is almost the single source of energy in the West is not a optimal situation and can be blamed on a lot of us and the economics of oil, it is the drug of choice for our economic health. Since we obviously cannot wean ourselves immediately, our economy is staggered and needs to recover...we shall solve several problems by putting Iraq under a new leadership...lest of all opening the spigots and controlling the oil!! Then hopefully we will be determined to not become dependent on corrupted sources of energy...just do the math, the calc involving the opportunity cost of our oil dependence will enlighten one to the real cost of cheap gas.

But here's what would be even more satisfying: the ability in the future to tell the Saudis, the Kuwaitis, the Iraqis, Nigerians and anyone else that we don't need their oil anymore. Scram!

Personally, I'd prefer to tell the Iraqis and Saudis "um.. pardon us, we own your oil, for damages assessed in relation to 9/11 and the past 10 years of Arab-Terrorism. The collection agent is parked just inside that Abram Tank over there..."

Once we own the oil, we can do what we please with the profits, such as donating them to CHRISTIAN charities and development banks ($20,000 loans or less), which in turn will make certain that average Arab guy and gal has a future free of the bondage of the past 13 centuries.

But then again, that's just me, a radical, redneck Christian. The proper thing to do is probably apologize profusely for the collective errors of our past ways, and PROMISE we'll make Islam our new state religion. Then the Arab Islamists would love us! Nice, docile, Muslims, subject to the local Imam/potentate.

But I digress.....
