The elves of ELF speak "In pursuance of justice, freedom, and equal consideration for all innocent life across the board, segments of this global revolutionary movement are no longer limiting their revolutionary potential by adhering to a flawed, inconsistent, non-violent ideology," the group said last week in an e-mail from its Portland, Ore.-based press office.
"While innocent life will never be harmed in any action we undertake, where it is necessary, we will no longer hesitate to pick up the gun to implement justice, and provide the needed protection for our planet that decades of legal battles, pleading protest, and economic sabotage have failed so drastically to achieve," and the feds respond with this implacable rebuff "What I didn't like about it at all is the reference to using guns," Mr. Wasley said.
Now Freepers what response do you think would have been mounted if an extremist group calling itself the Second Amendment Defenders (SAD) burned down a couple of buildings containing BATF offices and then announced that in view of Waco they would not hesitate "to use guns to defend the Constitutional rights of Americans from bureaucratic usurpation"? The federal police response to 9-11 would seem tepid compared to what would happen. This would be replete with podium pounding televised remarks by the ATG, apocalyptic commentary from various tv blow dried talking heads and Ted Kennedy demanding complete civilian disarmament as "an emergency measure." Doe there appear to be a double standard for domestic terrorist actions? Hmmmm

ELF membership figures are unknown because the group operates in "cells" that may consist of one or many individuals. Since 1997, according to its Web site, ELF has carried out dozens of actions, causing more than $30 million in damage. These Ba$tard$ need food , shelter, clothing, etc. like the rest of us. They either need jobs or funds from supporters for travel and the acqusition of bomb and torch materials. The police should look real close at those environmental organizations that claim no violance. Some of those ELF ba$tard$ are sleeping in these organizations.
It's the same crap as with Muslim terrorists. The Saudis are funding the terrorists all the while decrying their actions.

"While innocent life will never be harmed in any action we undertake, where it is necessary, we will no longer hesitate to pick up the gun.... Oh man! Would I love nothing more than to run into an ELF goon with an attitude and a gun. Talk about opportunity knocking.

Rep. George P. Radanovich, California Republican said "This group of extremists has forever damned their cause and should be treated by law enforcement as a threat to our national security. ELF is as cowardly as al Qaeda and as dangerous as the Taliban. It is critical for us to track them down and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law."
He called that right.

Doe there appear to be a double standard for domestic terrorist actions? Hmmmm No double standard. If a group benefits those in power, it is accepted. If it is a threat to those in power it must be destroyed.

The ELF have made new statements of a call to arms.
They believe that they need to step-up their pressure on society.
I just saw this on the news (they love the Portland media!).
Just take a look at their web-site to see their real thoughts on life, liberty and property.
