God Bless AMERICA and keep everyone safe!
Even though I live in Australia 9/11 has affacted me deeply. Here's why:
My sister whom I hadn't seen for twelve years passed on at approx.0900hrs on 9/11/01 due to cancer of the brain.I hadn't seen her for this long due to family disagreements. I had been planning to visit her before the end of 2001.
Her birthday was on 9/11/52.My birthday is on 9/18/54
During my absence from her she developed inner ear cancer which I had no knowledge of.Because of the family differences I also had no knowledge that her funeral was on 9/18/02(I'm writing the dates to suit US format)which is my birthday.I was not told of the funeral until a week later. God must have called her at that time and date,so It's like as though she had died inpsuedo in the W.T.C. even though she in fact died in Sydney.
Now Every year I grieve her death and feel partly responsible for her death for not seeing her sooner.

You have my deepest sympathy for our loss. I think I know how you must feel. I have a similar situation in my family - though that person has not passed and is not ill that I know of. But I know that time is short and wonder if the rift can be healed before it too late.

You cannot blame yourself for that death, whatever other guilt you may feel. Try to remember the good.
