"we have sons very soon to be of age to serve. I would give most anything to be able to go in their stead."
My oldest daughter leaves Oct. 31 for Army basic training (chemical corps). So I know what you mean. I'm proud as hell of her, but scared as well.
Ours was the Cold War and Communism. Her war, and that of your sons, will be the war on terrorism. I pray that it will be short and decisive. That is one of the reasons I wrote what I did. The more people that grasp the true horror of what happened a year ago, the quicker we will do what needs to be done.
my ISP had system maintenance scheduled early this morning.
so of course the process went t!ts up, and i've just been able to get back on.
there's an excellent documentary of 9-11 on the History Channel right now.
i simply cannot abide any more of the wailing and gnashing of teeth and
characterizing what happened as a 'tragedy' instead of the evil, animalistic atrocity it was.
the anger i feel this morning is really not translatable to words.
maybe god, whatever it is, can forgive what happened.
i cannot.
