Northwest jet diverted to Ft. Smith airport

FORT SMITH - Five News has learned that a Northwest jet has been diverted to the Fort Smith airport.

Fort Smith police say there were reports of three suspicious subjects on board. Witnesses say fire trucks surrounded the plane after it landed.

We have a Five News crew headed to the Fort Smith Airport and will have updates for you on this breaking story as more details become available.

The obvious answer to what's going on, is that the three men disabled the smoke detector and lit one up. String em up!
