A Day in the Life of President Bush (photos): 9-11-02

President Bush traveled to the three areas of the country that were hit by terrorist attacks one year ago today. Bush traveled to the Pentagon this morning, Pennsylvania this afternoon, and New York City this evening- where he delivered an address to the nation from Ellis Island. Today is a day for remembering the lives that were lost, and today is a day for honoring the freedom that we will fight and die for. God bless America. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

That's why you never posted back to me, You didn't know who I was. Well, How have you been doing?

I haven't been posting much lately. Too busy for my own good. Sorry if I hurt your feelings, but I did wonder who this person was who seemed to know me!

What struck me the MOST about the CBS interview with President Bush today was that we found out about what happened when he was on Air Force One on 9/11. It was hair raising! The dems are still calling him a coward for not going back to the White House and he WAS ON HIS WAY BACK when they had to change course because they got word that an unknown plane was flying toward them. GOOSE BUMPS! We could have lost him that terrible day.

Also, USA Today's review of the interview said that Dubya cried and pounded his fist on the table. They made him sound like he was out of control. Not true! It was mentioned that shortly after 9/11 Dubya pounded the table at a Cabinet meeting; and he had tears in his eyes in the interview for a short time.

He was solid, in control, and very much the leader.

I agree, LIR!

We have a great President!

I'm so glad I didn't listen to my co-workers! They wanted me to vote for Gore in 2000 simply because I worked for SSA and was in the Union.

I didn't to that, I voted my conscience! I voted for This great president!

I draw strength from his tears. I know who keeps him when he's weak. Thanks rintense for the ping. Your tribute was awesome.

Comforter in Chief yes, and accompanied by his lovely Laura who has the most serene demeanor of anyone I have ever seen! She looks like the kindest, sweetest woman on earth. He is lucky to have her, and so are we. She represents all that is womanhood.

There are a lot of photos today so please be patient.

Thank you for your good work, rintense. I could not wait for the Dose tonight, since I knew it would be full

Today I saw a great man, a great leader, taking command of this day. The news anchors, the pundits, the small-minded critics, the lame celebrities - all of them paled in comparison to this man.

Seeing him connect with the families in PA, and then with the families in NY - just to watch him was an experience. No commentary was needed. His warmth, his role as father figure and minister was so much in evidence.

And on the same day, in an interview on CBS, he was the magnificent Commander-in-Chief, the man above all who reminds us that freedom is worth the cost, for those that died on 9/11, their children and ours.

I don't think I could any prouder of a president, than I am of President George W. Bush.

I do thank God on a regular basis for the monumental difference between Geroge W. Bush and WJC. (That sounds so trite, but it's so profound.)

A day of rememberance led by our great President and First Lady. How they comfort wherever they go. His feelings are deep and are brought easily to the surface. What an emotional day for them. Pray that their strength be renewed each day for the work ahead.

Thank you rintense for your daily posting. You keep us connected and encouraged.

What a wonderful dose tonight rintense. I was so proud of our president and his cabinet in the 60 Minutes interview...and then his speech...wow. I'm now watching the fox tribute, the video tape of the firefighters...it's almost morbid fascination...so painful to see the horror of it all...but I'm like glued....

Thanks as always for what you do...and god bless all you lurkers and freepers today....

Such an emotional day...but thru' it all the strength and compassion of our President and First Lady shines...the admiration I have for these two wonderful people only grows. I will never forget the genuine concern and love that showed on their faces when they were talking to and comforting the family and friends of those who perished ... and later, the 60 Minute II piece was surprising and strong, I kept waiting for a "dig" at the president, but it never happened...Wow !
