I think Iraq's chem/bio weapons are, by far, the greatest concern of our military leadership. I hope you are correct about most of Iraq's capability in this area being destroyed or suppressed in the very early stages of an attack, but I'm not so sure we will be able to stop everything.
Iraq has very large quantities of both chem & bio weapons and a variety a ways to deliver it: missles, artillery, drone aircraft, etc. We are going to have to be lucky to get it all before we commence a ground invasion. These weapons are very difficult to control and Saddam may end up killing more of his own populace than our troops with these weapons if he deploys them, but if Saddam has his back to wall what does he have to lose?
I'm confident that we will have a decisive victory against Iraq, but I don't think it is a foregone conclusion that we will be able to achieve that victory with very low casualities.
My sediments exactly. Who is leaking all this? I guess most of them are false leaks though. =]
This is what I'd call a war exercize.
