Little Tommy Daschle is going to have to run like mad if he want's to get onboard before the train leaves the station without him. Actually, most of us would rather the train left WITHOUT him.
Dasshole (three syllables) is a Clymer, only smaller of course.

The increase in the number of air corridors from 4 to 20 has two implications. The obvious one is it permits an increase in the total number of flights; hence total capacity. The second is that it permits an enlargement in the number of point-to-point destinations. Aircraft will be coming from airfields that never flew directly to Lajes, Portugal before.
Saddam Hussein probably maintains a watcher service near the key US airbases much like the fleet watchers that were present at Pearl Harbor in 1941 Hawaii. Something is coming for him, and the US is determined to keeping from knowing just exactly what is.

I don't think it makes a huge difference, Saddam will know the day the war will begin as soon as the resolution is passed. The resolution will contain a 3 or 4 week deadline, and once the deadline passes, the air strikes will begin.

Actually, they are underway. There seems to be a report every day or so that the US and Britain have eliminated another Iraqi radar installation or AA site that "fired upon" the CAP. These sites appear to be along the lines that we did in 1991 with the Apaches and Pavelows. Does anyone remember the 400 mile air assault by the MEU from Kitty Hawk into Bagram last November? That, IMHO, was a dry run for the same thing out of Jordan - they learned they could do it and will do so soon. A new paradigm for the USMC.

The most interesting thing that I can discern from the increased Iraqi bombing by allied air forces(mainly US forces) is that we are taking out Command and Control facilities as opposed to our previous policy of only targeting surface to air facilities. The pressure is building!

And the voice said:
Neither snow nor rain nor gloom of night
shall stay these couriers
from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.
'Cause when love is gone, there's always justice.
And when justice is gone, there's always force.
And when force is gone, there's always Mom.
Hi Mom! Eeek - look what you've triggered. And I've been trying to forget that, too ;)

La la la la - I can't
hear you...
Arrrgghh...
In your automatic arms.
Your electronic arms.
In your arms.
So hold me, Mom, in your long arms. Your petrochemical arms.
Your military arms.
In your electronic arms.
Happy now? :^)

I'd fly 10,000 miles to smoke a Camel.
