One of the S.F. Chronicle's problems is how it regularly shrieks over every single breath or action taken by Attorney General Ashcroft. They are particularly unnerved by his efforts to rid us of the terrorist cells functioning brazenly in this country. One would think that the elites in this country: the academics, the media and the politicians would be fighting to protect our nation with common sense ideas. They aren't. They're standing shoulder to shoulder with those that would destroy us. The only common sense in this nation emanates from the common man. Joe Lunchbucket is far more in tune with Ashcroft then the elites.
Here are a few examples cited by the NY Post of the elites screaming bloody murder at even modest reforms in our nation's security net:

* When the INS and FBI detained a mere 1,200 men, mostly illegal aliens, on the basis of terror tips after 9/11 - a minute fraction of the Muslim and Arab population in America - the liberal media and Arab spokesmen invoked images of mass detention camps. *Likewise, when the FBI broke a terror cell in Detroit last month and federal prosecutors simultaneously indicted over a dozen local men for providing phony immigration documents, Muslim leaders groused about ethnic profiling. It seems that one can't enforce the law anymore without being accused of bias."

Our own Governor Davis just signed into legislation a law that permitted illegal aliens to get driver's licenses. And next to the Koran, a license is a terrorist's best friend. It offers legitimacy. Davis went on to amend the license legislation by demanding that the illegal aliens applicants have worked at least 15 months of the last 3 years. Never in the history of the United States has a governor required illegals to break still more laws in order to get benefits those normally reserved for Americans. And to make matters worse this was done after Proposition 187 passed, which was a law that forbade all governmental benefits to illegal aliens. Parts of that legislation was struck down by a liberal 9th Circuit and the Governor refused to take the appeal up to the Supremes.
We are told by the Chron, public schools and other elites, that we must love and understand our enemies and those that would destroy. Whoa. Hold the mayo! I don't recall that message delivered by the Chron when Timothy McVeigh, and his militia buddies, blew up Oklahoma Federal Building.
What will it take before the Chron and it "progressive" brethren to understand that there is a distinction between illegal aliens and legal immigrants? Another attack? Somehow I doubt it. The Chron is so busy protecting our civil rights, that they'll care less if we'll be blown to oblivion before we can appreciate it. Pedagogic, socialist ideology trumps survival instincts in the elites. It's also trumps the love of nation and all signs of intelligence.

The REAL elites in the US and the "international community" (of the New World Order variety) have actually been in league with islamic radicals, whom they have used as their thug enforcer army!! Most of the people that this article refers to as "elites" are mere pseudo-intellectual hangers-on or even dupes of the NWO elitists and their muslim friends.
As for both the NWO elite and their hangers-on, the old habit of shilling for and enabling international islam dies hard, even after 9/11. It would be best for them if they did a 180-degree turn really soon, because the islamists' world-domination plans do not include these people!!!!
By the way, their are at least a few professors of Slavic studies and related areas who are pro-Serbian, anti-islamic, and know what the "war on terrorism" is really about!!!! University scientists, engineers, physicians, etc. are also not necessarily muslim shills or dupes.
And these traitors have been strangely silent lately. Let's take Barbra Streisand, close friend of Bill Clinton. Not a peep out of her lately. It may have dawned on her that the Muslims want to kill her, even before they get around to the American Christians, simply because she's Jewish. And I think she knows she's going to have to depend on lunchbucket Americans to save her life. It must occur to her from time to time, what happened to poor Daniel Pearl. Well, Barbra, my lunchbox is filled with great pride for Lunchbucket Joes and Janes - not elite folks because that's not how we see Americans. You, Baldwin, Fonda, et al, will have to depend upon yourselves. All of you have never had a good word to say about the best country the world has ever seen your own country, and now you will hide behind the true American people to save your sorry rear ends. I despise you.
