There have been reliable reports that debris from the aircraft was recovered miles away from the initial crash point. Light objects, like paper and trays, for example.

The only way that could have possibly happened is if the plane, for whatever reasons, started to come apart during flight.

Now, that doesn't necessarily mean that the plane was shot down: it could have just as easily been a bomb.

The only problem with that theory is that if it were a bomb, you'd think that there'd be some indication of it from the voice recorder. Something along the lines of a terrorist yelling 'Allah Akbar' and then the very brief sound of an explosion.

And that's the case, why not admit it openly? Why go out of your way to prevent the general public from hearing what actually happened during those last 3 minutes of flight? Even in edited transcript form?

And we know how good the government is at cover-ups. I mean, they did a great job with that fake moon-landing.

That's what I though initially as well. But I've since learned that missiles fired on an aircraft aren't necessarily going to destroy the entire aircraft. Especially if they are heat-seeking missiles, which in the case of a large airliner would take out one of the engines rather than the fuselage.

Case in point: Korean Airlines flight 007 in 1982 was downed by a Russian missile. However, even after being hit by a missile, pilots were able to continue radio broadcasts for a full two minutes after the missile hit.

So then if flight 93 was shot down in the same manner, radios and recorders probably would've continued to work. Thanks for making my point. ;o)

Well, not necessarily. But for argument's sake, let's say it did.

If so, why did the voice recorder apparently stop recording three minutes before impact, if it still had power?

The GPS clock is not likely connected to the voice recorder's clock.
