Justice not served? Those Freepers who thought he was innocent might want to reconsider. He was going to tell police where the body was located. How would a man innocent of the crime know where the body was?

Bad news for the "Westerfield was framed" brigade.

They will dismiss this too of course. Probably along the lines of "Of course he was looking for a plea bargain, the press and prosecutor was out to lynch an innocent man so that the public didn't find out that the entire police force was having sex with the Van Dam's".

Feldman and Boyce took the map back to Westerfield and later telephoned to say they no longer "had anything to discuss regarding a plea bargain."

Westerfield at that moment, was, needless to say, SOL.

I saw a few lawyers on TV last night talking about the case. They claimed that many killers, especially those who are older, do not mind being sentenced to death in California.

They get a cell of their own, better food, special privileges and very little chance they will ever be put to death by the state.

Westerfield is not spring chick. If the state takes 15 years to finally put him to death, he will be 75, IF he lives that long.

There is a better than even chance that this man will die of natural causes in his private room.

He would tell police where he dumped the 7-year-old girl's body; they would not seek the death penalty.

But...but this can't be! She played in his motorhome! (BLAHBLAHBLAH...)

All those nutcases here who dilluded themselves into thinking Westerfield is not a callous, despicable, sadistic bastard, just because he didn't look "evil" want to speak up on this one?

I pray to God each and every one of you never have to make decisions about who your children should be around! When this sick bastard fries, the world will be a better place.

Those people who thought this man was innocent won't accept this truth either. They ignored Danielle's blood on the wall behind the bed, Danielle's blood on Westerfield's bedding, Danielle's blood on Westerfield's jacket........

This information ought to relieve the woman juror who had her doubts and caused all the delays. Unless she too is of the opinion that pity ought to be heaped upon a person who kills their parents and then cries about being an orphan.

Case closed, justice was served.

It's sad but this scum still has another 20 years of life as he runs out his appeals while on death row. I prefer sure, swift and certain punishment. The man who tried to kill FDR in 1933 was executed 33 days later. His errant bullet killed the mayor of Chicago Anton Cermak who was in the motorcade.

justice served?....putting on a million dollar trial which will be followed by many millions in appeals which the state will pay for and will put all families thru this horror again and again....and that is JUSTICE?

would a wise court have pushed for the plea, not have a trial , not put the parents of the victim, and the young perp on the stand to humiliate them , and banish the perp to the depts of the prison system...

The DA was up for re-election ....that is what all this circus was about.....

Perhaps he was an expert in 'Remote Viewing'.This dirty man surely raped and killed that little girl, and he gets to live? It's moments like these, that add one more stain to my State of Calif."Yeah, lets let him live another 20 years", the leftists say. It's unbelievable how this is allowed.I also wonder how long before those 2 (sorry excuses for parents)wait, before they start partying in that garage again.

O'Reilly is making the point on his radio program today that these defense lawyers were (now obviously) defending a man that they knew was guilty.

They're sleazeballs.

This is where O'Reilly excels. Will anyone else in the media go after attorneys who represent clients that they know are guilty?
