Showed up in an SUV in Indiana.
Irrelevant comments for the brainless.
That would be a big surprise. I'm expecting
the child to be in hiding with relatives.
I'm actually more interested in the activity at Arafat's compound, but will check back here once in a while. Just hoping the kid gets medical treatment as necessary.
In hiding long enough for the bruises to go away. This thing is sick.
The mother's only chance of keeping her kids is if she already took the kid to a private doctor and had her examined. If that is not done before the CPS gestapo gets their hands on her, there will be no refuting their version. She loses the kid and siblings for sure.
Maybe those of us who know how CPS works should organize a boycott of Kohl's to teach them to mind their own business.
Child Protective Services (CPS) is one of the most lawless of government agencies. The Fed's give bounties to the local county for each kid they remove from its family and they respond to the incentive.
And those of us who know how children are used as punching bags should organize a vigilante group to teach those parents some boundries.
Sorry about your prejudices, I just know how the CPS Gestapo works. If you study their methods and results, you will be outraged at them much more than a mother that hits her kid. The damage they do is much more profound and long lasting.
Know before you criticize.
Gimme a break! Everyone in the country has seen that horrendous beating and everyone (with the exception of you) thinks that the child is in serious danger. Whatever issues you have with CPS should not detract from Kohl's acting as good citizens.
Your campaign should include your support of this mother's rights. Your not gonna win anyway, you might as well get a little attention. No doubt, by supporting this shrew you will receive attention.
They thought they were doing good, just like that lady in the Shonee's in Georgia but they and she did not know what they were starting. All good citizens better learn that making a report to CPS is like lighting a fuse to a bomb that you will not be able to stop.
They are maniacs who never heard the phrase "due process".
If that's what being Libertarian means, no thanks.
You fellows are just not thinking this through very well. Let us see how you will feel if your kids or grandkids are taken by CPS for frivilous reasons and you go broke fighting to get the kids back from a system that holds all the cards.
Do not let the details of a single case warp your standards of right and wrong.
As a child, did you ever take a blow to the head with some adult's clenched fist?
Here's my take on it - the "defense" is going to be that Mom was swatting at two dogs (unseen in the car from that angle, of course) who were nipping at her precious little girl. You see, "mom" was actually being a hero, not a villain....don't you see that?
Brief to be filed by attorney "Rocket" Rosen
If you believe that the government, state, federal, or otherwise, has the power to remove child from natural parent, then anything else you claim to believe as an supposed individualistic, non-intrusive government "conservative" is meaningless. If this mother is guilty of aggravated assault, then arrest her and charge her with aggravated assault. If she is convicted, then she should go to prison, and the child goes into the sole custody of the father or next of kin, aka closest living relative. If the mom is found not guilty, then she is not guilty, and she goes home with her daughter. At NO TIME should a child be in the custody of a government agency. Government has not been delegated that authority by the people.
The concept of the rule of law is that rules that apply for every legal action (due process) prevent overstepping the bounds. Even one case of overstepping the bounds demonstrates that the rules are not truly in place and all cases are in doubt. That means-how do I know anyone is guilty when there are no standards for guilt.
Until due process is firmly in place, they are a lawless and rogue agency to be avoided at all costs.
Saw him on the news the other night. He spent at least two or three minutes "explaining" his name. What an ambulance chaser!
If it's broken, then set about the task of fixing it, not just sitting around and complaining that it's broken.
The quote from his appearance that made me want to hurl: "These things happen."
Yes, I was wondering how he possibly became involved in this case. I have a feeling he has defended members of this clan before. And he knows they can easily pay his fee. It's free money to him.
The sister was arrested for failing to report child abuse.
You, on the other hand, want a boycott of Kohl's for
reporting child abuse. Do you see anything wrong
with your statement yet?
I am trying to fix it. I am running for a state legislative seat and, in this regard, my goal is to force the CPS to obey the due process clause of the constitution. In fact most problems that we Libertarians have with government comes from the government disobeying the founding document.
If the Bill of Rights were not being ignored, we would have nothing to complain about and could retire from politics. That is the way that it was supposed to be in this nation.
Rhetorical excess, and I speak as a fellow Libertarian. From what we all saw on tape, it's obviously at there are grounds for police action in finding out how this particular child was treated, and to make sure that the child presented in today's surrender was the same child we saw being shaken like a rag doll.
The B* threw a tantrum, and we're all hoping that some little girl has not paid the ultimate price for her mother's sins.
They are not all equally bad. Some states have a particularly bad reputation. They all live under the same basic rules, they ignore due process to a greater or lesser extent and they all receive cash bonuses for removing kids from families paid for by the Federal government with your tax dollars.
Word of advice: your statement about boycotting Kohl's is JUST the kind of rhetoric to keep you from being elected. Sure, it may tickle the handful of Libertarians who vote, but you'll still lose. Then you can't "fix" anything. Remember, words mean something, and once they've been said, it's impossible to get them back.
I am a libertarian, and the boycott Kohl statement is outrageous.
You are making this a CPS issue. This is no frivilous case, no systematic starving of kids to prove or anything of the sort. This is a questionable merchandise transaction turn felony child abuse with eyewitnesses. I don't care who takes her kids away from her and places them in a safe environment. Just do it! She needs to be dealt with severely, if it's CPS who does it, so be it.
Don't think patrons in the parking lot who witnessed the beating and have seen the tape will not come forward.
BTW the child is with Dad not the CPS. Mom in custody.
30 years ago I saw a mom in the apartment building laundromat scream, swear, and repeatedly hit her 2 year old boy who needed to use the potty. He was jumping up and down, holding his crotch and weeping.
I was folding my clothes, and my apartment was right around the corner. I have been kicking myself all these years that I did not step in and offer to take that child to my apartment to use the bathroom. I just stood there with my mouth open. I'll never forgive myself for that. The folks at Kohls did the right thing.
