This sort of thing just makes me sick.
Later it turns out that my daughter is hypoglycemic (hypoglycemia and diabetes run in my wifes side of the family). If her blood sugar drops too low, she goes nuts, gets upset, cries at the least thing, becomes extremely angry, etc. The cure was to manage her blood sugar better: no sugar or processed-flour products for breakfast (ie, cut out the instant oatmeal and cereal). Instead, we give her protein (stick a chicken patty with some cheese on it in the toaster oven).
Protein and fat digest slowly, keeping blood sugar more even over the following hours. Sugar and stuff made from processed flour digest quickly, sending blood-sugar soaring, followed by a crash
That's the best option. Barring that, accept the pills and flush them down the toilet.
You have boys being boys - the education bureaucracy can't deal with that.
You have the kids who respond to the stress/trauma of impersonal daycare since infancy by just "checking out" - if you withdraw, no one can hurt you. If you know any teachers, ask them how many kids refuse to make eye contact, don't listen etc.
Add the kids whose mothers drank or did drugs during pregnancy but who now want someone else to pay and then of course the psycho-babble industry shoring up their empire.
