I had an ex-girlfriend whose cat used to crap on the pillows when nobody was looking.

What kind of permissive folks would allow the cat to crap on pillows when somebody was looking!?!??!?

Interesting question. I was recently involved in a project to determine just that.

It turns out she is all Yeti. The confusion in earlier MRI scans may have been caused by her recently swallowing children, "to protect them".

Hmmm, how about those little old ladies that you sometimes read about in the papers because the SPCA came and took away 397 of their 400 cats?

I doubt that any article published by Scientific American is slick unscientific patter.

My impression is that SA has become enamored of politically correct junk science in recent years, and are to be viewed with suspicion, if not distrust.

Apply salt liberally.

This is BS! While guys are notoriously messy, and women almost always are more "neat" and orderly in their housekeeping....SINGLE WOMEN can be the FILTHIEST animals on the planet!!! [flamesuit on]

Seriously, they have pretty shower curtains, but they've always got some kind of bizarre fungi growing at the bottom!!! There's nasty stuff in there!! Wierd plucking tools, and brushes and skin "exfoliators" (grinders.) Yuck! And the kitchens! Two single women roommates don't have anyone to force to do the dishes!! Guys won't clean much, but pouring a little bleach here and there is pretty much the extent of cleaning in a "male" household, whereas "perfume" cleaners are more likely with women. The former kills critters, the latter smells pretty.

As I see it, evolution is an ideological doctrine. If it were only a "scientific theory", it would have died a natural death 50 - 70 years ago; the evidence against it is too overwhelming and has been all along. The people defending it are doing so because they do not like the alternatives to an atheistic basis for science and do not like the logical implications of abandoning their atheistic paradigm and, in conducting themselves that way, they have achieved a degree of immunity to what most people call logic.

As Craiggers once put it: "Janet Reno, the long, hairy arm of the law..."

Why do women live longer than their husbands?

Because they want to.

There is an obvious explanation.

Alternate males indulge in practices which greatly increase their chances of parasite infestation, industrialized society or not. Hence the higher death rate.

Not sure, but my research shows that short people outlive the tall. Think about it....How many tall old people do you see?

Now I know why I hate cats. Thank you for that post. Now I won't feel bad the next time I run one over.

I guess I should feel responsible, but I don't get the feeling you brake for much of anything anyway.

That's ridiculous. I'm 6-2, the tallest in my family, and at 52 I'm as heal
