Bear with me here as I rarely post new topics. If this is a vanity, I apologize to all. But I think this is worth mentioning.

There is a group of sites devoting themselves to harming the economy of and spreading lies and propaganda about the nation of Israel. They seem to all fly under the flag of {BIG} Boycott Israeli Goods.

For several months now myself and another individual have been posting to their board and debating their members daily. For every lying peice of misinformation they have put up we have posted the truth in the form of historical docs and news items and simple reasoned debate. In this I have had the incredible resource of Free Republic to draw apon. My "partner" has had other sources of equally impressive caliber.

I would like to stress here that with only one other person on those boards taking the Pro-Israeli side, We have been able to not only argue them to a standstill, but the moderators there have first sanitized/censored the boards and then shut them down alltogether!

Rather than allow the truth to be posted on their site they choose to shut it down in an act of intellectual cowardice. Their site can be found here:

I thought it important enought to post about this because it shows what can be accomplished by one or two people who have the truth on their side. It may be a small win in the grand scheme of things, but every little bit counts. I know I'm pretty happy about it. Should they open up again though, I wouldn't mind seeing some Freepers jump into the fray.

I bought Israeli Naot shoes and sandals and they're more comfortable than Birkenstocks. And easier on the wallet too. You might tell friends and neighbors to be on the look out to buy Made In Israel products where they're available. Let the cowards who run the BoycottIsrael website that was shut down and other like them know we're doing our part to help the people of a fellow democracy prosper and survive.

I went to the site and the discussion boards seem to be working as one would expect.

As of like two seconds ago, they are as I described them. They are frozen in place. You can't post new comments or edit old ones. The boards at BIG are NOT functional.

Ahhh. My error. I had assumed that you meant that they had been total jerked from the site and not merely made read-only. Sorry.

It's cool. You had me worried for a second though. Delusional doesn't come close to some of the things I've seen there. One poster thinks 9/11 was caused by Jews taking over the jets by electronic remote control. Another one quotes Ben Frankin as using the word "Dracula" in one of his speeches.

I was trying to be polite. But based on the examples you gave I can see it is a wasted gesture. Too bad I don't have the tools to hack the site. Not that I would if I could. That'd be illegal. Yup.

Yup. That would be illegal. Probably. Maybe. But I know I for one wouldn't say anything if someone were to figure out a way and email the codes to me. Just to have. I would never use them. Nope. It's not like I would justify it as my part in the war on terror. If I did use em. Honestly.

Oh, I believe you. I think the first step is getting a utility that scans a site for passwords. I've seen some in action. After that you need the address of the server and with some ftp software and an HTML editor...Whooppeee! Your in hack city.
