Right now they are trashing Paul Bender (sounds like Hatch is doing the job). I was one of Bender's students and can tell you that he is as far left as they come. Rah, Rah!

Additionally, Kissinger is addressing the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and just urged the Senate to give the President the resolution he wants and needs.

Factoid: Ma Estrada voted for Chuck Schumer who's serving as chair today.
Hatch: Bender has been rebuked by the senate before. He shouldn't be listened to.

Schumer doesn't dispute Estrada's record of legal excellence. He wants to see records from his time of serving in Solicitor General's office.

Schumer: have you ever told anyone that a person shouldn't clerk for Justice Kennedy because they were too liberal, etc.?

Hatch: Turning over documents from when Estrada worked in solicitors general office is a bad idea. ALL former solicitors general oppose it-- Republicans and Democrats.
