"THE PRESIDENT SHOULD WORRY MORE ABOUT HIS COUNTRY AND LESS ABOUT HIS POLLSTERS"-Tom Daschle 9/26/02
Fred Francis - MSNBC | 9/26/02 | Wait4Truth

Posted on 09/26/2002 11:31:37 AM PDT by Wait4Truth

This is a Daschle comment from this morning quoted by Fred Francis of MSNBC. Daschle was commenting about how the President has not gone far enough in being conciliatory to the Democrats. Daschle is now saying that because of the lack of trust they feel, they may not pass Homeland Security or an Iraq resolution prior to going home to campaign. Your comments are welcome. Hopefully, you will all fight back. This comment was particularly beyond the pale, don't you think? This is war, folks. Our President is being savaged and undermined during a time of war. They are now also asking the question, "Are you better off than you were two years ago?" This garbage must not stand!

I am purchasing a new computer. It was going to be a Gateway till I remembered it was made in South Dakota ...

Be sure and pass that along to the Gateway people.

Today we found out that Daschle had called the media prior to his diatribe against the President yesterday. This was plotted out with the media for maximum effect. The media is part of the plot. That should scare all of us.

They obviously had this strategy in the works and could only find those lame quotes to back up their appalling theory.

I wonder if he had a team of his crack researchers scanning the papers and airwaves for ANYTHING they could twist and use agains the president. Try to picture that in your mind.

How can so much stupidity reside in the body of a single person? November is looking better and better.

Truthfully, I am positive that President Bush is not worried about his poll numbers. At all.

Michael Dell is a major Bush supporter. That's where I purchased my new computer a few months ago.

Fine. Bush can paint the Democrat-controlled Senate as REALLY not caring about security right up to Nov. 5.

No. He'll have to take a vote on both, or he'll be Minority Leader on Nov. 6.

Don't know why my response is not HTML auto-detected, but here goes:

tom_daschle@dashcle.senate.gov

To write other members of Congress as well, find email addresses at:

http://www.webslingerz.com/congress-email.html

Suggestion: though it still has an effect, and should be sent regardless, oftentimes email is simply trashed or blocked. If you have time for the old hand-written, snailmail letter, you'll have done a good thing for your country. Addresses at the above site.

To protest to the DNC:

DNC

430 S. Capitol St. SE

Washington D.C. 20003

202-863-8000

BTW, the DNC website (www.democrats.org ---BUT DON'T go there, less Terry think Daschle's despicable comments are winning him new converts) does not mention ONE THING about the war on terror or Iraq as an issue facing the nation in the coming elections---which, it breathlessly reports, are "only 41 days away!"

Why don't you start a thread on exactly that? Then we can all do some research on various mcauliffe, daschle, clinton, etc quotes that politicized the war. Should be a snap. We need to spread information far and wide.

Good point. Look at all the polls, I'd say it was Daschle who's more concerned with Bush's poll numbers.

This is yet another trial balloon. He faces political obliteration if he tried to leave town without completing work on both. Problem is, he and his caucus hate both.

I hope they don't either. The last two weeks of the election will be saturated with Democrat do nothing, obstructionist, unconcerned with Americas protection ads. All payed for by the Republican soft money avalache. Not only will the Repubs retain the house but they'll win the senate by enough margin to keep it this time. Tommie will lose his Dem leadership position and retire. Go ahead Tommie don't pass the war resolution and the home security bill..."make my day"

They needed the article to launch the attack in the first place..
