"THE PRESIDENT SHOULD WORRY MORE ABOUT HIS COUNTRY AND LESS ABOUT HIS POLLSTERS"-Tom Daschle 9/26/02
Fred Francis - MSNBC | 9/26/02 | Wait4Truth

Posted on 09/26/2002 11:31:37 AM PDT by Wait4Truth

This is a Daschle comment from this morning quoted by Fred Francis of MSNBC. Daschle was commenting about how the President has not gone far enough in being conciliatory to the Democrats. Daschle is now saying that because of the lack of trust they feel, they may not pass Homeland Security or an Iraq resolution prior to going home to campaign. Your comments are welcome. Hopefully, you will all fight back. This comment was particularly beyond the pale, don't you think? This is war, folks. Our President is being savaged and undermined during a time of war. They are now also asking the question, "Are you better off than you were two years ago?" This garbage must not stand!

"Doing nothing is not an option."

I think it's the best option. When your enemies are shooting themselves in the foot, don't disturb them.

Somebody had a great new bump sticker suggestion yesterday on that live thread.

Stop the hassle
Get rid of Daschle

The Labor Unions will not allow the RATS to give President Bush flexiblility on hiring, firing and moving people within the Homeland Security Department. This is power that all presidents have had since JFK. The President has said he will not accept anything less and will veto. The RATS are catering to special interests, not America.

Why bother communicating with Daschle? His policy, rhetoric, and flat-out lies are generated by Barbara Streisand, Rob Rheiner, and Ed Asner. The DNC is a lazy bunch of parasites for which there is no stage in their life cycle to erradicate them. They can't even bother to read beyond a headline. All they do is suck the life out of this country. What has happenned to the Democrat party of long ago is a shame.

"TRANSLATION: We're not getting what we want so we're NOT going to vote on what America needs. WE (the Dems) and our feelings are more important than the American public. Wwwwwaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!"

So -- what the President said about the Senate (not the Democrat-led Senate as was mis-reported) not having the nation's security as it's first and foremost concern IS TRUE!!!

They'd leave to pout and finish their campaigns rather than pass legislation critical to our National Security -- what does that tell you about these idiots!!!???

Let's hope so: we need a referendum on the War on Terror. And isn't that the "debate" the 'Rats have been wailing for all along anyway?

Ordinary folks made a difference in bringing Fr. Gmelin's political career to a screeching halt. Now we must stand up and say we're not taking this crap out of our own countrymen (persons?) either.

The 'Rats are begging for the fall elections to become a referendum on the war by their whining strategy.

The problem is how to "allow" their strategy to cause that referendum to emerge.

"Are you better off than you were two years ago?"

Yes, lil Tommy, I am better off. Mr Gore would have me in shackles at my local pycho ward.

How about just ONE ad, listing all the bills, legislation Daschle personally has held up this year.

I would dare them to push this into veto territory, but they're just stupid.

Daschle is being ignored, evidently the President met with a bipartisan group and worked out the wording of a new Iraq resolution which hopefully will be presented this afternoon.

I agree. Did you see Ron Fournier go after Ari yesterday over and over and over about Bush's remarks?

Daschle's Rant...

Then Dubya gave him an opening. But it took more than 24 hours of meetings between Daschle and Democratic strategists to decide if this was the right time to launch an all out political attack on Bush. They talked, they argued, they called in more strategists and talked some more. According to Democratic sources, most in the room told Daschle that getting on the Senate floor and screaming his head off would be a bad move.

But Daschle ignored the advice and took the floor Wednesday.

Reaction came swiftly.

I did and it reminded my of those briefings Rummy use to have when reporters would ask one stupid question after another

Didn't SNL do a skit on that ..

Rush made one small point early in his program that got me worried...he said if the Rats keep this up and the press is behind them(which they are) it could sway public opinion away from Bush on Iraq....Rush's thought was after awhile people might start saying that the Rats may be right.....
Speaking of polls, we know the Rats don't go to the bathroom without taking a poll..I just wonder if Dasshole is doing this because of some secret poll that the Rats have?
We have to also remember that a lot of people are idiots(Rat's base) and don't follow politics, they get there news from soundbites on network news,....thoughts?

I am purchasing a new computer. It was going to be a Gateway till I remembered it was made in South Dakota, now it will be a Dell. Any state that keeps electing "Tommy the Twerp" will never get any of my business.

Good idea, write Gateway and tell them why!
