I just new that we would be seeing malaria again, ever since we started worshipping wetlands. This was the very reason that we drained swamps so many years ago. Why doesn't anyone get it?

If true, that wouldn't be surprising. Many areas in the U.S. were malarial swamps. Get rid of DDT, protect those "endangered" swamps, assume that since malaria hasn't been around for a number of decades it won't ever be again, and you're just waiting for trouble.
