New York Sen. Hillary Clinton said yesterday that she was right to raise questions five months ago about a possible White House cover-up regarding what President Bush knew in advance of the 9/11 attacks, adding that she still thinks her constituents are entitled to answers.
"It's the job of a senator to ask questions on the minds of his or her constituents," Clinton said through spokesman Philippe Reines. "And nobody is more entitled to answers about what happened on 9/11 than the people of New York."
"Sen. Clinton believed, and believes to this day, that we must ask the hard questions about what happened on Sept. 11," he added.
Mrs. Clinton was reacting to reports that President Bush thought her earlier comments suggesting he had advanced knowledge of the 9/11 attacks were "irresponsible." Bush's reaction to Clinton's remarks is revealed for the first time in a new book by Washington Times reporter Bill Sammon, "Fighting Back."
In a May 16 speech on the Senate floor Mrs. Clinton had complained:
"I am simply here today on the floor of this hallowed chamber to seek answers to the questions being asked by my constituents, questions raised by one of our newspapers in New York with the headline 'Bush Knew.'...
"The president knew what? My constituents would like to know the answer to that and many other questions, not to blame the president or any other American but just to know, to learn from experience, to do all we can today to ensure that a 9/11 never happens again."
Responding to reports that Bush had received an August 2001 CIA briefing on plans by al Qaeda to hijack airliners, Clinton even went so far as to raise questions about a possible White House cover-up.
"Why (do) we know today, May 16, about the warning he received. Why did we not know this on April 16 or March 16 or February or Jan. 16 or Aug. 16 of last year?," she complained.
Hours later Sen. Clinton told reporters, "Clearly the public demands answers immediately. The people of New York deserve those answers more than anyone. I believe that getting the facts out would be the very best response to this troubling news."
Twenty-four hours after raising questions about a White House 9/11 cover-up, Mrs. Clinton told a Long Island, New York audience that national security was now her number one priority.

Hitlery still wants answers? I still want Clinton to define the meaning of "is". It's still so unclear, after all these years. Too bad Lazio and the GOP didn't think about pulling a Joisey when it was obvious Lazio couldn't beat Hillary; can you hear the screams of "unfair"?

The Hildebeast was dumb enough to actually respond? What a moron! Her base may be okay with it, but this makes her look like the shrew that she is, in the eyes of the rest of the voters.
Of course, if she's digging a hole, it would be impolite for us to interrupt her! ;-)

Be nice if the suckup press asked her how come she thought it was a BAD idea to allow Rudy to remain Mayor a little longer after 9/11 because she thought the rules should be followed or everyone would be wanting to change the rules............
As usual, the rules mean one thing to the honorable and another to the demonrats.
She will NOT be voting to support the President on Iraq!

And who were the terrorists that her husband pardoned? I've forgotten their name but they killed and maimed innocent people, including some policemen. An unpardonable sin (pardon the pun!) in a post 9/11 world.

FALN terrorists.....Puerto Rican's......of course Hitlery needed PR votes for her Senate election.
To: Tumbleweed_Connection
Ole Slick knew more than Bush did and had 8 years and many more reasons to get him.
How come the vile harpy isn't pushing for an investigation of that?
To: Tumbleweed_Connection
I wonder if those "hard questions" she refers to involve what Slick Willy and the b*tch herself knew prior to 9/11. They had a lot more time to deal with Osama than the new administration.
To: Tumbleweed_Connection
Why doesn't Hillary ask her husband what he knew?
To: skeeter
LOL.....now she's aligning herself with the Badgdad 3.....
To: OldFriend
That was it - the FALN terrorists. Thanks for the reminder; the memory isn't what it used to be.

Clinton even went so far as to raise questions about a possible White House cover-up. sounds like mckinney gave the hildebeast her conspiracy notes. Keep on, hil, you'll be wondering why you lost your senate seat. Hint: S-H-R-E-W-S are becoming the most un-becoming political voices.

Too bad Lazio and the GOP didn't think about pulling a Joisey when it was obvious Lazio couldn't beat Hillary; can you hear the screams of "unfair"? Now that the precedent has been set, I wouldn't be surprised if they try to pull it with McCall.

He knew that, in response, he wasn't going to fire a million dollar missile at a ten dollar tent and hit a camel in the a**...
(at least that's what he's reported to have told Hillary and others shortly thereafter)
To: Frank_Discussion
I don't think Hillary is stupid at all. I think she's evil. She wants the White House and I think she is slowly, methodically, building what she considers a case against the integrity of Pres. Bush. That's why she remains unrepentant. Her husband is the American primarily responsible for the 9/11 attack through his negligence (I think that perhaps a case can be made that he wanted something like this to happen so that he could declare martial law, but we need to uncover that evidence before we go that route); therefore, his (Clinton's) lack of integrity is a problem he needs to overcome before he can return onto the political stage. We saw while he was in office how he disparaged historical figures, then used them as a comparison to himself. The Clintons have a very honest man following Bill's departure from office and that fact is a major barrier to his rehabilitation in the public perception (we have someone worthy with whom to compare him). So expect to see Hillary to slowly carp away at his character. She expects Americans to forget, as we are want to do. Remember, these people lie with impunity. They say one thing one day and deny it the next.

I still what to know what hildabeast and slick knew about 9/11. They had a man at the FBI that was on the case, and the klintoon boot lickers still at the FBI forced him out. Then he took a job at the WTC two weeks before 9/11, and now he's gone. How much of what Mr. O'Neil knew did the terrible twosome know, and when did they know it?????

Twenty-four hours after raising questions about a White House 9/11 cover-up, Mrs. Clinton told a Long Island, New York audience that national security was now her number one priority. Mrs. Clinton certainly seems to have changed her priorities since she was the co-president. For eight years she apparently couldn't have cared less about national security.

In response to the Hildabeast ex-co-president's demands, we as the American public have a right to know also. What did the other co-president know and when did he know it?
The intelligence on OSB and this type of attack would not materialize overnight. Contemporary stories indicate that this attack was in planning for over two years. Therefore, it is safe to assume that intelligence has been filtering in for some time. That time frame included the prior administration to President Bush's.
Sick Willey mentioned OSB as a threat by name several times and even opined that he intended to "take him out". Why didn't he? What evidence exists theat SIck Willie did anything?
The Demoncrats are using this issue to undermine our national security. They are weakening the image we have overseas of unity and they know damn well that some of the answers to these questions are sensitive and cannot be revealed without jeopardizing the quality of the data or the sources.
This isn't a game for political gain. This is for keeps. The safety and welfare of millions of our citizens rest on this issue. Remember the bastards that seek to undermine our national security by going to Iraq and by dividing the country.

Here's one thing Bush knew on 9/11. You and your husband eat s...! Oh, and another thing he knew........you two belong in Fort Marcy Park without car keys!
To: Tumbleweed_Connection
"It's the job of a senator to ask questions on the minds of his or her constituents," Clinton said through spokesman Philippe Reines."
Typical. No way she would allow herself to be recorded on camera saying such things. Oh no! No real record! Just the words of one of their kool-aide drinking mouth pieces. That way the words can be denied. So, this is just another trial balloon. Throw it out and see what the focus groups think.
She and her husband are the most self-absorbed, self-centered, greedy little criminals ever to hit the US political scene. The most laughable thing about the Clinton's is that say they are in the "public service" business. LOL! well, at least not as I define "public servant". With the Clintons, it's always been about how much money and power they can steal. They are not much different than the "Irish Travelers". Except, instead of pummeling children they pummel everyone that does not agree with them.
The Clinton's are bullies. The only way you deal with bullies is to punch them in the nose. So to speak.
Clear headed people see the Clintons for what they are. Psyco's that have risen to political power. The dregs and crooks of the world see them for what they are too. And they gravitate to them. And that's who the Clinton's surround themselves with. The Craig Livingstone's of the world.
Bush didn't know about 9/11 before it happened. This wretched little woman knows that. She just wants to be president. And that will never happen. Because she has a political tin ear and is mean. Very mean. And the more she opens up he mouth the more obvious it is.
To: twigs
I agree with you. Hil is evil (whereas Bill is just amoral). What I am wondering, do evil people realize they are evil? Do they understand about making right and wrong choices? Do the immoral choices they make ever bother them? I just can't understand how they think, how they can rationalize lies, cheats, etc. They must think they are above any judgement, Divine or otherwise.

I just called. Too angry to be articulate... I said, it is fair for her to ask what the President knew and when he knew it... but, I hope her investigation will go into her husband's administration to find out what he knew and what he refused to do.
Then I became incoherent and couldn't get past the phrase, her hypocrisy galls me. It just galls me!
Man, I can't stand those two.

Flim Flam - FALN Terrorists. Hope the voters smarten up in NY when Hitlery is up for re-election, although I think her next step is the presidency. This HAS GOT to be an issue in a post 9/11 world. Setting terrorists free was never a good idea, but should be viewed as pure insanity now.
