I agree with you. This shooting does not indicate "novice" to me either. It may not include training or high level marksmanship but it lends itself to someone who has more than a passing familiarity with long guns.

Imagine if Al-Qaeda uses this tactic as Phase II. Nobody will want to go shopping, outside, or even to work within 100 miles of any area where there's still one on the loose.
