You Yankee fans brag when you win and drag out yesterday's newspapers when you lose. Predictable and shameful. Right now is what matters and they lost. It's only a game remember ;-)

It's one thing for people to celebrate if they're, say, Angels fans; it's entirely another thing to celebrate if they're simply Yankee haters. I've already heard from more than one gloating Met fan tonight, and it's like, what the bleep are you gloating about? *Your* team finished in last place!

People on this thread who say they hate the Yankees, haven't said who their team is. I doubt its the Angels.

I congratulate the Angels. They out played the Yanks all around and deserved to win.

I knew there was something not right this year. It was the combination of losing colorful baseball personalities in O'Neil, Brosius and Martinez and replacing them with low key guys like Mondesi, Ventura and Giambi. Good players for sure, but never known as team leaders. Rondell White was a bust and Jeff Weaver has a long way to go before he's taken seriously. The Yanks of 1996-2001 are gone and it will take a while before these current crop of Yankees, show if they have what it takes to win in the post season.

Next year should be real interesting.

You don't understand. It's not the players I hate. In fact I shed a tear when the Mick died. The Yankee management, Steinbrenner especially, put baseball into the state it's in, turned a great and noble game into a shabby business. I know they didn't do it alone but they have the greatest part of the blame to bear.

By the way, I have no use for the Mets either.
