It's a shame. What makes you think this is so. I'm not disagreeing, I just want to get your perspective.

I used to think it was only liberals who wanted an all- powerful president, able to do whatever he wanted from bypassing congress to declaring war on his own initiative. After four years of reading posts by other Freepers I've come to the conclusion that many of the people here want precisely the same thing. They sneer at congress. They post messages saying the constitution is not a death warrant (so rip it up if will increase their sense of security by 4%). I don't know what kind of government they want in their heart of hearts but it sure doesn't seem to be Jeffersonian democracy.

I agree, there are a lot of individuals who are not concerned about the Constitutional Separation of Powers.

I will also say that there are a lot of shady things going on as we speak on the national front.
