October 7, 2002 -- A criminologist has reportedly given investigators an analysis that indicates where the sniper who killed six in a terror spree across the Washington suburbs last week might strike again.

Kim Rossmo gave investigators a "geoprofile" of the assailant's attack pattern - a computer-generated analysis that indicates where the killer might live and where the next shooting could occur, The Washington Post reports.

"He" is a they, a cell of five, mid 20s to early 30s, swarthy, big noses, don't shave or bathe much, like beating women and buggering children.

They will strike next in a fast-food parking lot near a strip mall and target middle-aged white people and anyone in a yarmulke.

They will be captured exiting a Mosque after they stop for a reload of hate, money, and ammunition.

Either that or it will turn out to be Timothy McVeigh's drill sergeant. Or the a renegade CIA-Mossad-FSB clique.

To me, the pattern of the attacks indicate a degree of competence and training (one-shot, one-kill; nobody sees him). Sufficient competence that the sniper would read up on criminology techniques, and construct a pattern that would tell them whatever he WANTED them to think.

I think it will turn out that this is a Muslim cell based nowhere near the attacks

If its a terror cell...the terrs gotta love the dog and pony press shows...the jumping on the "white" van the waving of the assault rifles...the showing of one spent rifle (or pistol) casing..the idea that the small pieces of bullet -fragments- tell a tale of which assault-hunting rifle was used and indicate that a high-velocity-devastating round was fired...by a marksman with military training (or a wannabe) who reads Soldier of Fortune or Guns and Ammo magazines....

The fervor will die down..if there isnt another shooting for a week or two ...and if its in another town this will go away..like so many other terrorist crimes.. the sheep will forget
And the media will be on to the next terror event..right there with their cameras and their pundints "gushing caring" and their "search for the truth" with Pulwitzers in their eyes..

I agree with you. I do think there have been a number of rehearsals, only some of which have made the media, to determine how the authorities will react in given instances.

I believe that there will be a huge number of incidents all around the country, attacking Americans from within America, when war with Iraq commences.

I would personally go out and use means to defend any child. I would have to use more means to defend more children, I would continue to expend all means to defend precious children. It could be on hold till after the election but maybe not. There was some internet rumor that some kid was shot this morning in PG county. There just isn't enough information to say for sure. By definition it's terrorism. It just isn't obvious whether it's terrorists from the "religion of peace", terroristic Democratic activists trying to pump up K. Kennedy's (anti-gun) political campaign, or some head case just out for the "fun" of killing a few innocent people. Btw I don't agree that the Brady hag (may she rot in hell forever) is a lunatic. She is perverted and deliberately evil, but not insane.

I find the fact that the shootings occurred in the anti-gun liberal heart of anti-gun liberal Maryland a bit significant. One of the strident brays of the anti-gunners is "the police will protect you" The police sure have done a dismal job protecting the liberal anti-gun citizens of Maryland from this attack (but they're sure good at protecting them from the criminals wh go a few miles aboe the speed limit).

This is bogus. It is known that such geo-profiling is useful only in crimes (e.g. serial rape) in which the perpetrator typically lives in close proximity to the scenes of his criminal acts.

I have not even heard anyone connected with the present "serial sniper" case postulate that this particular variety of goblin typically lives near his "workplace."

Indeed, it appears that the shooter(s) range over too wide of an area -- from Montgomery County, MD to Fredericksburg, VA, to Washington, D.C., and now, possibly Prince George's County I can no longer listen to the endless pontification of the army of so called experts (ex-this and ex-that; PIs with litle background in serial murders; etc.) that continues to be paraded by news-whores in the face of a Chicken-Little public.....
