Unfortunately, no. It is not true that "Souter screwed us again." The ENTIRE COURT screwed us. This was not a mere refusal to grant emergency relief. This was a refusal to take the case whatsoever.

Since the Court uses the "Rule of Four," it takes only four Justices to cause the Court to take a case. That means that at least SIX Justices on the Supreme Court refused to obey their oath of office to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.

Words fail in describing how reprehensible, how stupid, how destructive (both now and in the future) this decision not to decide is. I assume that the faithful three, Chief Justice Rehnquist, and Justices Scalia and Thomas, did not go along with this rape of the Constitution. But we will only know that for sure if they dissent from the Order denying certiorari. Justices seldom do that, but may do so if they choose.

At least my predictions were right about the timing of the decision -- just a while after 1 p.m. (#$%%^&&#*(&*^&)

In a sense, I agree, but at the same time, when you had the Dems pretty much all but making open threats to politicize this matter, I'd bet that was able to back Kennedy and O'Connor off the court.

The Dems, it is safe to say, have continued their pattern of learning from their past defeats far faster than conserrvatives seem to. And as such, they are always ready to give us hell.

The only thing left to do is to adjust the rules of enaggement to deal with this in future elections. We need to take things to the Dems, and we have to hope that we can get a few breaks going our way.

It's also time for Doug Forrester to make some appearances with the King of All Media.

Not only did the USSC refuse to stand up to their oath and their duty to uphold the constitution, they have allowed the democrats to screw out military over once again. I find that, in a time of war, to be reprehensible.

I didn't think they would issue the injunction the GOP was asking for, I did however believe they would hear the case. The constitution is clear on this matter, the legislature of the states decides election law not the judiciary.

So now we are left with the federal court cases, as of now nothing has been decided (that I've heard) if they spit on our military and the constitution our country is lost. More reasons then ever to elect strict constitutionalists to the bench, something that will never happen with the democrats in power.

God help us.

It is over for this country. We will now proceeded to a socialist dictatorship. It has been happening for some time now. The democrats and Republicans alike are involved in the destruction of our republic. The examples of our demise are just to numerous to list. The total lack of respect for the constitution and the rule of law are rampant among both party's. And they stretch to the highest court in the land. The patriot act is one of the clearest examples of how far we have fallen down. This NJSC, and USSC decision just shows the the final protections to law and justice have been eliminated. But the most hopeless thing of all is the total lack of interest or concern by the average Joe in American society.
It is obvious now to me at least. We will continue to decline very quickly. Freedom will soon be a memory at best. We will all be slaves to a corrupt government...we will live in fear of them. And no one will act until and unless things become so bad that people are willing to revolt as they did in the forming of our country. As it is now we no longer have control. We have only the illusion of it. Our candidates are chosen by those who have the money to support them. And evil abounds in those who pick the candidates to run for election. I will no longer choose among the lesser of 2 evils. If I am not totally convinced that there is good man running then I will not vote at all. For the writing is on the wall. Until there are a million people standing in the streets demanding an end to this corruption and the removal of those who are perpetrating it...Until then...all hope is lost from me.
