Quote of the day belongs to you my friend. Bumping this.

There he goes again.
The straight-talking, no-nonsense, tell-it-like-it-is-and-let-the-chips-fall-where-they-may Texan hits another one straight into the bleachers.
Yep, he sure did ! And you followed up nicely with one of your own. Good Job, JH2 !!

Still wonder why people think handing national security to Democrats is about as safe as hopping in a car with Teddy Kennedy drunk at the wheel?
To: JohnHuang2
Sorry to break the news to ya, Tommy, ol' chum, but I'll tell the real reason your party's stock is as strong as Enron's.
For openers, here's three reasons: Jim McDermott, David Bonior, Mike Thompson.
Oh! Wiseguy!

Brian you are showing our age. Most folks out there aren't old enough to know what rowan and martin are. Do you remember when trickey dick was on and asked indignantly,"Sock it to me"?

Yep.
Never missed a show!
AND I remember when the same gentleman knew by 0100 Hrs on the morning after the 1960 Presidential Election that he had won the election and that the fraud by way of which the "DemocRATS" were in the process of stealing it had been exposed and that the "DemocRATS" and other criminals involved had been caught red handed. And that "Tricky" American, Mr Nixon, opted, "for the good of the Nation," to not pursue a review of the matter.
Quite a tricky feller, that one.
And: Here come d' judge Here come d' judge Here come d' judge Here come d' judge Here come d' judge!

I hope I didn't come across as underestimating the minorities. But consider: Justice Thomas is still pretty much a pariah within the Black community even after a decade. He should be one of their heroes.
Harry Bellafonte has just released a horrible screed against Sec Powell. A prominent black and conservative person is crucified daily. To this day the conservative Black is under full blown attack continuously.
The Hispanic community is more balanced even though the ledger is skewed way to the left.
It is not that I underestimate the minorities it is just that I hope that I have a reasoable view of their enormous problems.
Their problems are not unlike the problems of the moral opposition to Hitler in the 1930's in face of the brown shirts.
