Well, here's my response to you. If you are really serious in submitting that there is a realistic likelihood of a co-conspirator/LEO with this "at the absolute limit of loony killers" then you are seriously whacked out yourself (and more than a little scary!).

No, he's not "a step ahead". The police are CLUELESS (or, have been until the infamous Tarot card, and it remains to be seen how much that helps). They always ARE in these instances of senseless random murder. How long did it take to catch that nut-case in NY, or the one in Boston, or Ted Bundy, etc, etc, ad nauseam?
But .... after a WEEK the pack turns on some poor jerk police chief and wants to take their anger out on him because WE are just as CLUELESS as the cops.
